Monday 18 June
9 AM: Treon Goossen is a co-author of the current home school statute in CO. She has served as the CO Home Education Legislative Analyst/Liaison for over 25 years. She has worked on numerous boards and councils over the years including the Home School Legal Defense Association Advisory Council, as Director and board member of the CO Springs Home School Support Group for 13 years, as a board member of Christian Home Educators of CO, is currently on the Teller County Advisory Committee for Congressman Doug Lamborn, and serves as the State Coordinator for Parental Rights.org. She is the recipient of the Ruth Beechick Award from CHEC and the Home School Liberty Award from HSLDA. She is married to Dean, the mother of seven children, and has homeschooled for 28 years.
10 AM: Paul Lundeen serves the 5th Congressional District on the Colorado State Board of Education. Lundeen has applied his passion for learning to a varied career that is most easily described as a value creating entrepreneur. He has built success in journalism, public policy and business. He wrapped up his broadcasting career as a Washington correspondent, with credentials to the White House, working for a broadcast group that owned a chain of radio and television stations sprawled across the western United States. In business, Mr. Lundeen has built and maintains, with the help of great teams, businesses in Colorado and California providing services ranging from tree farming to investment management. Paul & Connie have been married for 26 years and have two adult children.
Tuesday 19 June
9 AM: Mark Brunlich presents, ”Will political questions be determined by civic debate and representative government or by judicial imposition?” Short title: “Who is the real Bully?” Mark Braunlich is an attorney with a B.A. in Economics and a K-12 Mathematics and Life Sciences Teaching Credential. He piloted a California statewide high-school lab-intensive physics program; taught international economics to gifted Dutch students; managed a small Dutch industrial public relations firm in Amsterdam; and worked in the Soviet Union providing Internet connectivity and training to Russian secondary schools. He has been a white-water rafting guide and a U.S.F.S. Wilderness Ranger.
10 AM: State Representative Chris Holbert was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in November 2010 in House District 44 which currently includes the communities of Parker, Lone Tree, Roxborough Park, Louviers, Surrey Ridge, and northern portions of Sedalia and Franktown. The reapportioned House District 44 will include incorporated Parker and Lone Tree. Representative Holbert is currently rated as the #1 “Guardian of Liberty” by Liberty Watch Colorado. He also earned a top three rating from the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, making his the highest “CUT” score among the Douglas County legislative delegation and the highest among incumbent members of the State House who are seeking re-election in 2012. Chris’ career has centered on trade association management with focus on executive leadership, marketing, communications, and government affairs. From 2000 to 2008, Chris served as president and executive director of a statewide trade association where he represented over 6,000 business professionals throughout Colorado. Now in business for himself, Chris provides consulting services to candidates and nonprofit organizations. Since 2009, Chris has volunteered time to help members of various grassroots organizations better understand the political process and structure of government. Chris advocates that knowledge, truth, and accountability are the means by which positive change can be affected. Chris is married (1986) to Diane Holbert, who is Treasurer of Douglas County. Chris and Diane are parents of two sons: Victor and Carson. Chris enjoys bow hunting and has climbed 39 of Colorado’s 54 “14’ers.
Wednesday 20 June
9 AM: Jarred Rego, District Press Secretary, Office of Congressman Doug Lamborn. Jarred provides a legislative update on what is happening in Washington. Prior to joining the Congressman Lamborn’s staff, Jarred hosted a popular KVOR radio program and is a graduate of University of New Hampshire.
10 AM: County Commissioner Peggy Littleton serves on the Board of County Commissioners representing the citizens of District 5, which covers most of the City of Colorado Springs, in November 2010, taking office on 1-11-11. Prior to her public service as a Commissioner, Peggy served on the State Board of Education for seven years, from February 2004- January 2011. Her involvement in education spans many years. She taught for 15 years in a variety of educational settings, including home-schooling her three children and serving as a faculty member at Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy and Colorado Springs Christian School. Peggy was also appointed as the director for Colorado’s GEAR UP grant, which was administered by the office of former Governor Bill Owens. Using her extensive experience as an educational consultant, Peggy has conducted professional staff development seminars for teachers nationwide. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the Regents University of New York (renamed Excelsior) and has earned numerous graduate hours in literacy and education.
Thursday 21 June
9 AM: Michelle Morin is the recipient of the 2010 Vern Bickel Grassroots Leadership Award ~ A prestigious award given annually by the Independence Institute to one grassroots leader in Colorado, Recognized byCampaigns & Elections Magazine as a Top 5 Influencer in the state of Colorado., and 2010 Graduate ofLeadership Program of the Rockies. Michelle is a home school Mom, a blogger, and a great voice for in letting individuals understand how to be effective in making their concerns known to their elected representatives.www.MichelleMorin.net

The 912 Pikes Peak Patriots Constitutional Champions Camp is truly a labor of love for the founding principles of our great nation. Staffed entirely by 912 and community volunteers, the camp provides four fun days of learning true American history no longer taught in our public schools. A program for parents is also provided bringing elected officials from the state and local levels to a true one on one experience many busy parents just do not have the time to pursue. Information on other areas of interest from the community completes the parents program.
Our program is modeled after the Constitutional Champions Foundation (CCF) curriculum. While we work closely with CCF, our camp is run independently as are all camps around the country. This year CCF based camps are scheduled for all 50 states.
The Constitutional Champions Foundation is a not-for-profit 501 (C) (3) tax exempt organization formed to meet the needs of the youth of this nation. The mission of Constitutional Champions is to involve the youth of our country through educational programs, school groups, and community service projects. Our goal is to build an organization that will be the front runner in providing education for youth, on the constitution and founding fathers, and will be the leading example on living the principles and values necessary to bring back the founding principles upon which this nation was founded.
